National Rifle Association spokeswoman Dana Loesch mocked liberal comedian Samantha Bee on Thursday as less politically effective than reality TV star Kim Kardashian West.
"I think it's incredibly interesting that Kim Kardashian has had more effect politically than Samantha Bee has had, and has also had a better impact on the headlines for all the haters out there," Loesch said on "Fox & Friends."
Bee uses her weekly show "Full Frontal" to push progressive causes and has received widespread media praise, while Kardashian West is best known for her social media presence, TV show "Keeping Up With the Kardashians," and marriage to rapper Kanye West, although she occasionally dabbles in politics.
Kardashian West visited President Donald Trump in the White House last week to lobby on behalf of Alice Marie Johnson, a grandmother serving a life sentence for nonviolent drug charges. Trump commuted Johnson's sentence Wednesday, setting her free after more than 20 years in prison.
Bee made headlines last week when she slammed Ivanka Trump as a "feckless c—t" while ripping the Trump administration's illegal immigration border policies. She apologized the next day and again on her program Wednesday, although she conditioned it by saying "civility is just nice words."
Loesch poked fun at Bee for mentioning she said "c—t" all the time on her show as a means to "reclaim" it.
"I don't think America knows that, because America doesn't watch her show," Loesch said. "Why in the world, out of all words to try to reclaim, would you try to reclaim that one?"
