This is the heartbreaking moment a Syrian father tried to comfort his distraught son after he woke up for the first time since being blinded in an airstrike.
Local media reported the child - thought to be younger than 10-years-old - cried and shouted "Pappa, my eyes. I can't see" as his father lifted him up out of his hospital bed and cradled him.
Mobile phone footage shows the boy's eyes and hands are bandaged after he was injured in the ongoing Syrian war, it was reported.
