Shocking moment teacher slaps and hits student with wooden stick

A primary school teacher in south-west China has been caught on video repeatedly beating up one of his students in class, sparking outage among Chinese net users.



The violent male teacher was believed to be punishing a 'rebellious' student at Cichong Primary School in Liupanshui after he reportedly misbehaved during class.



The teacher, Peng Lianghua, has since been suspended. The education ministry has also dismissed the school's headmaster after investigating the incident.



The student has been taken to hospital where he was treated for 'soft-tissue injuries', according to a statement released by the Liupanshui Education Ministry on Wechat today.
