Iran player Milad Mohammadi was hailed by supporters across the globe after producing 'the greatest throw-in in World Cup history' during his team's defeat to Spain.
In the dying stages, with his team trailing 1-0, the wide man, kissed the ball and pointed to the sky before performing a forward roll as he shaped to throw.
But for some reason, he decided against letting go of the ball, aborting the throw-in at the last second.
Did he bottle it or just get it wrong? Who knows?
Mohammadi, who started the match as a substitute, did eventually take the throw-in, choosing to send it back towards his own half rather than launching it into the penalty area.
