A father-of-three has been seriously injured after a car travelling at 60mph rammed into him and sent him flying as he celebrated his country’s stunning victory in the World Cup.
Gennady Nazdrachyov was part of a group who had taken over a street for late night kick around and party in Kopeisk - two time zones east of Moscow - after Russia's historic win against Spain.
Other cars had slowed and gone around the revellers, who included 26-year-old Nazdrachyov, while many drivers had also stopped to join in the celebration.
But a video has caught the shocking moment a silver Hyundai was driven at speed towards the group, striking Nazdrachyov as he went across the road to retrieve a football.
“It was going more than 90 kilometres per hour,” said Nikolai who filmed the scene.
