'Eye of God' spotted over Inner Mongolia in spooky cloud footage

A spooky cloud formation has left locals staring up at the sky in Inner Mongolia.



Described as the "Eye of God" it appears to look menacing, as the oval space was lit up by either the sun or moon in the centre, making it look like an eye was staring over the Earth.



It is not clear if the footage was recorded at night or during the day, or whether the person sharing the clip had adjusted the exposure settings on the camera.



The video was shared on Chinese social media and went viral after it was uploaded on Monday, June 25.
