Stunned holiday-makers in Spain couldn't believe their eyes as a boat hurtled towards them in a desperate attempt to escape the police helicopter.
The speed boat, being driven by a suspected drug trafficker, whizzed along the shoreline of the beach in Manilva, Malaga, with the helicopter just metres away.
Taking place on the hottest day of the year so far in Spain, many families were lounging on sunbeds, whilst others were playing in the water - unaware of the impending danger.
Within moments the relaxing hot spot became a hub of drama. With some choosing to run away, while others stood and watched as the chase unfolded.
