A surface of a bridge in northern China cracked and buckled due to extremely high temperatures yesterday (July 23).
The video, captured in Jilin City in Jilin Province, shows tarmac on Jiangwan Bridge cracking.
Despite this, the bridge’s structural integrity was not affected, local media reported, citing the findings of preliminary inspections. The cause was said to be the high temperatures.
Temperatures in Jilin reached 34 degrees Celsius, reports said.
