Terrified passengers jumped into water to escape after a catamaran burst into flames seriously injuring two.
The blaze engulfed the entire boat which was travelling on the Arousa estuary in Spain.
Flames ripped through the boat after passengers reported hearing an explosion, possibly coming from the kitchen area of the vessel.
The Civil Guard said 52 people were on board when the blaze started, including eight children and four crew members.
Many passengers hurled themselves into the water from the 'Boramar' catamaran as flames and thick, black smoke took over the entire length of the boat.
The first emergency calls were made at around 4:20pm this afternoon, while other tourist boats in the area desperately searched for passengers in the water.
