A man and woman had buckets of sewage poured over them by an angry mob who accused the pair of having sex outside of marriage in an area ruled by Sharia law.
The disturbing scenes were filmed by an onlooker in the city of Langsa, in north-western Indonesia's Aceh province.
In the video, a man identified by the initials TSF can be seen crouched next to an open sewer as a vigilante fills a bucket with waste and pours it over his head.
TSF is held still by the vigilante who then fills another bucket and pours it over the supposed adulterer.
