Nashville police are looking for a man who allegedly shot a youth football coach over the weekend during a dispute at a game.
The 42-year-old coach was shot twice in his right leg Saturday night at Antioch High School. Police said that he was recovering.
Police said the coach had broken up a fight between players on his team and the opposing team. The coach reportedly told police the suspect approached him angry about the fight.
The suspect asked the coach to meet him under the bleachers. Once there, the coach said the man pulled a pistol and began shooting.
30-year-old parolee Eric Caruthers Jr. was identified by police as the man who shot a youth football coach Saturday evening at Antioch High School.
Police have issued an aggravated assault warrant for Caruthers.
