Residents who witnessed police arresting a man suspected of the Solihull double murder claimed he was 'pepper-sprayed in the face' as he tried to get away from around a dozen police officers on foot.
Raneem Oudeh, 22, and her mother Khaola Saleem, 49, were stabbed to death near their home in Solihull on Bank Holiday Monday.
Fresh CCTV footage shows cops chasing a 21-year-old man - believed to be Janbaz Tarin - down an alleyway before arresting him late last night.
The clip then shows the man trying to scale a wall by climbing up onto a car after he realises he's reached a dead end in a road in Sparkhill, Birmingham.
The first officer to catch him on foot appears to pull out a can of spray from his belt and point it in the man's direction.
The man then collapses in a heap on the bonnet of the car - bringing his arms up to his face as if something is in his eyes - as other officers move in to arrest him.
