A mother of five was killed in a car crash after her boyfriend slashed her brake lines to fashion a crack pipe, Pennsylvania authorities said. Tammy Fox, 38, died after she slammed her car into a tree in her hometown of Scranton, according to the state police.
John Jenkins, 39, cut the black Hyundai Sonata's brake lines in an attempt to obtain a metal pipe that could be used to smoke crack cocaine. Jenkins told investigators he cut the lines the night before, while he and Fox were at home, to make a crack pipe. He has been charged in her killing and is being held without bail at the Lackawanna County Correctional Facility without bail.
