It's been used by film heroes and villains for decades as a way of evading the police during a high speed chase.
But this wasn't The Italian Job - it was The Bosnian Job as a teenager managed to escape the snares of the police by driving down a flight of stairs.
The driver - reported not to even have a driving licence - was being cornered by police.
When officers thought they were about to catch the Peugeot 205 and the driver inside, he performed evasive action and turned to drive down the stairs near the city green market.
Police did not dare to follow down the stairs and one of the officers tried to walk down the stairs but was unable to catch the fleeing driver.
