A 13-year-old boy was picked up and dragged into a supermarket after sweets were allegedly stolen from the store, according to reports.
During the incident, which happened outside a Tesco branch in Exeter, a youngster was allegedly pulled back into the store with his shirt around his head.
A witness branded the scene "horrific" and said friends of the boy were heard shouting: "He is only 13, leave him alone."
It happened at about 3pm on Saturday following a reported theft of sweets, Devon Live reports.
Eyewitness Jordan Keen, 25, was having a pub lunch with his family when the scene unfolded.
