A teenager steals a bike in this shocking daylight theft, punching the owner who tries to cling as it's taken.
A 17-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded guilty to attempted robbery during a short hearing at Manchester Youth Court yesterday.
The incident caused outrage after footage of it was recorded on a mobile phone and posted online, Manchester Evening News reports.
During a minute-long clip, the cyclist manages to cling on to his silver and red mountain bike despite being repeatedly hit.
It starts with the cyclist lying in the road as a man in a dark grey hooded jacket tries to wrestle the bike from him.
In the video shouts of ‘no, no’ and ‘get off my bike’ can be heard as the cyclist is punched twice to the face.
