A Saudi operative suspected in the death of Jamal Khashoggi has been caught on CCTV wearing the journalist's clothes.
Law enforcement surveillance footage appears to show Mustafa al-Madani leaving the consulate by the back door in a fake beard and glasses identical to those worn by the Washington Post reporter, CNN reports.
Madani, 57, who is of similar height, age and build to Khashoggi, 59, was used as a decoy for the journalist, according to a Turkish official.
In the footage, Madani exits the consulate building with an alleged accomplice wearing what appears to be Khashoggi's dark blazer, a gray shirt opened at the collar and trousers, at 2:52pm.
Four hours earlier, at 11:03am, a non-bearded Madani was filmed entering the consulate by the front door wearing a blue and white checked shirt and dark blue trousers.
