A man has been arrested after threatening train passengers with chainsaws and shouting that he was about to commit a massacre.
The incident took place on the Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) public transport system in San Francisco, California.
Patrick Bingman, 47, was taken into custody on Monday afternoon after passengers described the frightening ordeal.
A video filmed by a passenger showed Bingman brandishing a red chainsaw as he tried to start it several times.
The woman, known on Twitter as @jalina_ks, posted on the social media website that Bingman kept comparing himself to the 'Texas chainsaw massacre' and the 'BART massacre'.
At the start of the video he is heard saying: "I'll cut your frickin' head off."
