Officers with the Missouri State Highway Patrol's Troop H seized 514 pounds of marijuana during a recent traffic stop in Andrew County.
A state trooper initiated a traffic stop on a Chevrolet Suburban and trailer at about 4:57 p.m. on Oct. 25 on Interstate 29 near the 53-mile marker in Andrew County. Circumstances led the trooper to request the driver consent to a search of the vehicle, which was denied.
The trooper then requested a Buchanan County deputy and his K-9 respond to the scene. The K-9 alerted on the vehicle, and a probable cause search revealed the 514 pounds of marijuana.
