A cheating husband who stabbed his stepdaughter 24 times and his wife 18 times murdered the pair in a frenzied knife attack.
Christopher Boon, 28, used a kitchen knife to repeatedly stab wedding planner Laura Mortimer, who had "fought for her life" during a struggle, and 11-year-old schoolgirl Ella Dalby, who had "bravely" come downstairs to help her mum.
Their bodies were found "side by side" in pools of blood on the kitchen floor of their home in Dexter Way, Gloucester, after Boon fled the scene.
The electrical engineer had cheated on his 31-year-old wife - causing their marriage to break down - and was angry after she told him to move out within two weeks, a court heard.
Ella had been stabbed 24 times, mostly in the face, while Ms Mortimer had 18 separate knife wounds, mostly in the neck, in a "sustained and brutal episode of violence", Gloucestershire Live reports.
