Terrifying moment train starts moving with railway worker beneath it

This is the terrifying moment a train moved off while an Indian railway worker was still beneath it repairing a fault.



The incident occurred near Howrah Station in Kolkata last Friday (November 9).



A video filmed by another railway worker shows a guard crouched beneath the train between the tracks fixing the brake system when suddenly the train starts to move.



The filmer runs next to the track shouting for passengers to halt the train by pulling the emergency alarm.



When they don't appear to hear him, he starts to scream in desperation.



Eventually - after an agonisingly long time - the train does come to a halt and the guard emerges unharmed.



He immediately gets on the radio, presumably to give the driver a piece of his mind.
