One of the crown jewels of Manhattan's Fifth Avenue is Tiffany's, a citadel of American glamour. The retailer is world famous for its little blue boxes and sparkling jewelry.
Its place in pop culture was solidified in the Audrey Hepburn film "Breakfast at Tiffany's," based off the Truman Capote book. But in 1994, thieves snuck into the store and snatched more than a million dollars' worth of jewelry.
Investigators who cracked the case say their inexperience as criminals would be their undoing.
