The suspect held over the murder of a doorman outside an exclusive Mayfair party on New Year's Eve was today charged with firearms offences.
Imran Mostafa Kamel, 26, was arrested last night after Tudor Simionov was knifed in the chest and two others were stabbed when violence erupted at about 5.30am on Wednesday morning.
Today Scotland Yard said Kamel has been charged with possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or danger, and possession of a firearm when prohibited for life.
A spokesman said the firearms offences are not directly connected to the death of 33-year-old Tudor or the others hurt in the Park Lane brawl.
Kamel will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court today - but remains a suspect in the murder on January 1.
Today Tudor's heartbroken girlfriend Madalina Anghel, who believed 2019 would be the year they married and started a family, said she was taking his body home to Romania for burial.
She told friends on Facebook today: 'On New Year's Eve my boyfriend and future husband Tudor Simionov was stabbed in the heart at work. The loss is impossible.
'It is hard for me to find the right words - his unexpected death has shocked us all'.
