ANTWERP - After the shooting in the Brederode Street on the Antwerp South one of the three victims died. The two others were seriously injured.
The shooting took place on Saturday afternoon at 2.42 pm, just as soon as a tram passed. The cousins Emre and Ozan S. were shot up close by two suspects who were arrested. It is a 60-year-old man and his 32-year-old son of Turkish origin who run a notorious café in the Brederode Street.
One of the two victims - a 28-year-old man - was declared clinically dead and died later in the day, the other was seriously injured. The last night and earlier in the day there had been incidents between the victims and the shooters.
The suspects will be interviewed extensively, and appear before the examining magistrate tomorrow, reports the Antwerp prosecutor.
The third person who was hit, is also seriously injured according to the Antwerp prosecutor. It is a neighbor who wanted to intervene in the incident.
