Dressed in little more than a swimsuit and a bikini, several hardy swimmer braved the freezing waters of the Sea of Japan in Vladivostok on Sunday.
Natalia Lipunova and Natalia Aksenova gave an interview after splashing around in the sub-zero sea.
"I've been doing this [winter swimming] for 10 years," Aksenova recalled.
She explained that ice swimming produces "a storm of emotions, impressions and a good mood."
Her side-kick Lipunova mentioned that last year's swim was at a water temperature of minus 4.5C (23.9F), while the air temperature was minus -28C (-18.4F).
