A California university fraternity has been ordered to stop all activity after a video emerged of a student being 'kidnapped' as part of a hazing ritual.
The California State University, Sacramento, chapter of Delta Chi Fraternity was sent a 'cease and desist' letter after a clip was posted online of a member who had apparently been kidnapped while he was asleep.
He was seen in the footage bound and gagged to a wooden table with a white cloth, while other students stood around to film him with their phones.
During the short video the student could be heard screaming in a muffled voice.
Students taking part in the hazing could also be heard laughing in the background as one made a reference to 'gold team'.
