Three teenage schoolgirls were arrested today after shocking video was posted online showing two girls abusing a pair of kittens - including launching them in the air and letting them fall to the ground.
The footage, which appears to have been recorded on Snapchat, also shows the two girls aggressively rubbing the kittens together in a way to suggest a sexual act.
Hertfordshire police said that two 14-year-old girls and one 13-year-old girl, all from Stevenage, Hertfordshire, have been arrested on suspicion of causing unnecessary suffering to animals.
The footage shows two of the girls sitting on a bed and holding a kitten each, before throwing them into the air.
Both reach a sickening height, but only one of them has a soft landing.
