A suspect has been charged with terror offences in relation to a knife attack at a busy UK train station on New Year’s Eve.
Mahdi Mohamud, 25, is charged with attempting to murder three people at Manchester's Victoria Train Station.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates Court on June 12, 2019, to face three counts of attempted murder and one count of a terror offence.
The latter relates to the possession of a document or record likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism, Greater Manchester Police says.
Mohamud, who used to live in Cheetham Hill, Manchester, was charged on Thursday - almost five months on.
The force said: "At around 9pm on Monday December 31, 2018, colleagues from British Transport Police responded to reports of a stabbing at Victoria Train Station."
