The video, which has been widely shared online, shows infuriated Eden Chemo, 18, clenching his fists and punching his dog on a sofa.
The Husky-Staffordshire bull terrier cross, known as Zeus, can be seen cowering in fear when Chemo screams at it.
It's said the young man struck Zeus twice during the attack at his Manchester home on November 5.
