The 17-year-old clambered up on to the stationary carriage at Altaiskaya station in Russia’s mountainous Altai region.
But he was about to take a picture of himself, he received a massive electric shock from a live cable causing his clothes to catch on fire.
The youngster fell off the train onto the platform before railway staff rushed to help him.
