Officers have charged a driver with impaired-related criminal driving offences after she refused to move her vehicle in a drive thru at a restaurant in the City of Vaughan.
In one of 26 incidents over the long weekend where drivers were charged with impaired-related criminal driving offences, on Friday, August 2, 2019, shortly after midnight, police were called to a restaurant in the area of Highway 7 and Keele Street for a report of a driver refusing to move her vehicle in a drive thru. The caller advised that the driver hadn’t ordered any food, but was stopped at the drive thru window and would not respond to restaurant employees.
When officers arrived they spoke with the driver who was showing signs of impairment. She was placed under arrest for impaired driving and was transported to #2 District Headquarters for a breath test where she blew over the legal limit of alcohol.
