Donna Steele's killer revealed in chilling detail how he strangled the mother-of-two before throwing her body into a river in a police interview video.
Matthew Ross White was sentenced to life in prison on Thursday after pleading guilty to murdering Ms Steele and dumping her body in crocodile infested waters in August 2017 in Cooktown, Queensland, The Cairns Post reported.
White, 27, a father, confessed to the brutal attack in an interview with Detective Sergeant John Scott McGrath that was shown to the Cairns Supreme Court.
In the interviews, Mr White admitted to strangling Ms Steele until she passed out before tying her hands and dumping her in the nearby river to ensure she was dead.
