French theme park Nigloland has apologised after park-goers alleged that its character displays contained racist and colonial messages.
The 'Africa Cruise' ride at the park, in Dolancourt, northeastern France, has sparked fury online after depicting a black character wearing a red tarboosh hat and carrying a bunch of bananas.
In contrast, a white male character is seen wearing a helmet and an audio message says: "Stop talking, Bounama, and help me climb onto this branch before my trousers start looking like a sieve!"
The black character replies in a heavy, exaggerated 'African' accent - and calls the white character 'boss' several times.
One shocked visitor took to Twitter and wrote: "I went to Nigloland and I saw this.
