A security guard was forced to plead for his life as masked robbers pointed a gun at him in a terrifying broad daylight heist.
Seconds later one of the robbers fired the gun into the air, and the pair snatched a cash box from the man - which was actually empty.
The thugs fled the scene in a getaway car, then torched it and abandoned it a short distance away.
Police were called to the robbery outside a Barclays Bank in Salford, Manchester, yesterday afternoon.
Greater Manchester Police said the box the robbers grabbed had no cash in it and the courier was unharmed, reports the Manchester Evening News .
