The earth opened up under a car in a parking lot in Penza, Russia. The resulting pit instantly filled with boiling water, as a result, two people who were in the car’s interior were boiled alive, according to the regional department of the Ministry of Emergencies. Eyewitnesses published footage from the scene of the tragedy.
The incident occurred at 09:40 a.m. on November 19 in the parking lot in front of the store on Austrina Street. The record shows that the car completely went underground. Witnesses claim that two men managed to leave the Lada-Largus salon, but could not get out of the trap - they were crushed by a car. The failure in a few minutes was filled with boiling water from a broken pipe so that by the time the rescuers and utilities arrived, the driver and passenger were dead.
At present, the car and the bodies have been lifted out of the pit; the identities of the dead have not yet been established. The prosecutor of the Oktyabrsky district of Penza arrived at the scene.
