Action starts around the 2:40 mark.
Parishioners and priests fought in the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ, which was the result of a long conflict over a church between parishioners of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the Kiev Patriarchate.
According to the Dialog newspaper, the former rector of the church, Vitaliy Senik, owned by the UOC-KP, was removed by the bishop of the PCU “until complete repentance and correction”, but was reinstated by the honorary patriarch of the PCU Filaret, who has an undefined status in the religious organization.
Vitaliy Senik did not repent and continued the services in the church. For several months, according to GolosUA , an agreement existed between him and the new abbot, according to which the PCU community conducts its services in the cathedral at 8:30 and 16:00, and Senik parishioners at other times.
However, on March 3, Vitaly came to service at 16:00, violating the agreement. After a verbal skirmish, parishioners fought, then the holy fathers joined in the brawl.
They managed to separate the melee, soon the called police arrived and stopped possible unrest.
