The video we posted 9 days ago of Lori Lightfoot saying she only gives contracts to those who 'pledge allegiance to the new world order.'
Since then, the video has been shared over 2100 times with nearly 20k views.
Facebook apparently did not like this video being shared on its platform and sicked its fact-checking dog, Reuters on us. Today, all links shared on Facebook of this video have been deemed FALSE by Facebook fact-checker.
But the video actually shows Lori Lightfoot saying exactly those words!
So how did Reuters find this false? By making wild ASSUMPTIONS we did not make and framing the story completely FALSELY!
In its report, Reuters writes the headline: Fact check: Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot did not advocate selecting leaders who are part of a “New World Order” conspiracy
Our post DOES NOT talk about selecting leaders of a new world order CONSPIRACY. We mentioned hiring people, which she mentions CLEARLY IN THE VIDEO. Lightfoot talks about picking people to run agencies who pledge allegiance to the new world order, right in the video from her own mouth!
The Reuters goes off the deep end and says: Social media users are widely sharing an altered video in which Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot appears to advocate selecting leaders who have “pledged allegiance to the new world order,” hinting at a global conspiracy seeking to undermine freedom and democracy. This claim is false as the video has been taken out of context.
Nowhere have we, nor any other site that has posted the video, HINT OF A GLOBAL CONSPIRACY. And how can the words from Lightfoot's own mouth be considered 'out of context?'
The fix is in everyone. The tech giants at Facebook and Twitter will be in full censorship mode as we head on into election 2020. They need to be heavily fined for giving illegal political contributions to the Democrats because that's exactly what these actions are.
