San Bernardino Police received a call of a man with a gun at the Exxon Gas station on Del Rosa and Date street around 8:30pm Saturday night. When officers arrived they found the man matching the description in the call waving what appeared to a black handgun. Online video from a bystander shows police giving the man several commands to drop the weapon.
Screenshots of the video released by San Bernardino Police show the man pointing something at officers. Police fired at the man from their service weapons. He was transported to a local hospital where he died from his injuries. The man was identified only as a Hispanic male.
Police are interviewing several witnesses as well as different angles of video as part of their investigation.
