JACKSON, Miss. —
The Jackson Police Department is investigating a shootout that ended in the deaths of two men.
The shooting, which was caught on surveillance video, was reported Sunday at a gas station on Woodrow Wilson Boulevard, police said.
The video shows Christopher Lee, 28, who appears to have a gun drawn. Justin Partee, 33, is seen in the video walking into the store and the two men exchange gunfire.
Police officials said investigators suspect three men ambushed Lee, who died at the scene. Partee is seen on the video leaving the gas station. Police said he had been shot several times in the chest. The two other suspects took Partee to the University of Mississippi Medical Center, where he died, police said.
