The 'horrific' dog mauling of two toddlers has prompted calls for extra measures to keep residents safe.
The girls, aged two and three, were attacked by an escaped dog in St Saviour's Road in Saltley on Monday, February 8.
The older girl suffered serious injuries and was treated by doctors at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
Alum Rock councillor Mariam Khan said such incidents were "rare" but led to "questions of responsibility, animal welfare and community safety".
The attack prompted calls for extra security measures to be imposed on dog owners, including gating and fencing so dogs could not escape, or for them to attend training courses.
