There is not much info about this incident, which occurred around noon in Frankfurt.
A man was menacing people with a knife, lunging at several civilians. An officer showed up and order the man to place the knife down. The man did not so the officer drew his weapon and ordered him to drop the knife once again.
The armed individual then is seen walking across the street as the officer stays within firing range behind. It was at this moment the armed man tries to stab another random gentleman as he chased him around the car. The officer fires several rounds, striking the assailant.
No word on the condition of the suspect.
