Mobile, Ala. (WPMI) — A woman walking into a Mobile convenience store is attacked and slammed to the ground by a man who took her car keys and then walked toward her car parked just yards away.
That woman fought back, and the attacker identified as Brandon Young calmly left the scene. It all happened Sunday night at the Chevron at Azalea and Michael Boulevard.
He's charged with Robbery 3rd which is a felony. The victim's family is thankful she's ok.
Chevron's surveillance cameras captured scary moments on Saturday for this 28-year-old whose name we are not releasing at this time.
She parks in between gas pumps and makes her way towards the front door.
"The lady came up on here on pump #6 and she probably trying to get gas or something tryna buy inside," said the manager.
But 28-year-old Brandon Young attacks her before she can make it inside.
He swiftly approaches her, grabs her and attempts to walk towards her car.
She fights back and hits him in the face. They struggle then young slams her on the ground and snatches her keys.
She runs towards him, and they stand face to face before she runs off.
Young doesn't take the car and walks off.
The victim's stepmom posted the video on social media warning other ladies to be careful. The post has been shared nearly 10 thousand times.
