CONYERS, GA — An altercation between two men inside an Atlanta-area bar led to a shooting that has reportedly left three people injured.
The shooting, which was filmed on Facebook live, occurred at Sudo’s Bar and Grill along Salem Road in Conyers, Georgia around 10:30 p.m. on Sunday night.
Video shows the suspect, James Simpson, black shirt, having a verbal altercation with a man as they stood face to face. It appears the man in the white shirt said that he also had a “pistol” and that he was “on the same sh*t.”
Simpson at one point took a step back from the man’s face while holding onto his right pocket. He then physically charged at the man who returned with several punches. After regathering his balance from blows he then responded with three shots.
According to u/WsbTV, three people including the man in Black were harmed from the gunshots but are said to have suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Simpson was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and reckless conduct after an off-duty Rockdale County Sheriff’s Deputy who was working security at the bar was able to detain and confiscate his firearm.
