Shocking videos show the moment that a ‘large scale fight’ with weapons erupted in Cheetham Hill.
Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said that around 10 men were involved in the brawl on Bury New Road at around 12 noon on Friday (November 26).
Footage captured by a witness appears to show people being hit with metal bars, while officers said that men armed with machetes were also present.
An air ambulance was also scrambled to the scene, close to the Sherborne Street junction, and six men self-presented at the hospital with injuries from the fight.
No arrests have been made, GMP confirmed.
A GMP spokesman said: “Police were called just before 12pm on 26 November to Bury New Road, Manchester to a report of a large scale fight involving approximately 10 people.
“Some of the men involved were armed with weapons including machetes and metal bars.
