A Seattle officer shot and killed a burglar running around with just a towel on and wielding a machete after he stabbed a K9 officer to death and injured another cop.
Dramatic bodycam footage released over the weekend shows the moment two officers begin chasing down the burglary suspect, who has yet to be identified, on January 5.
A Seattle Police Department (SPD) sergeant pulls up in his car and tails the man while another officer and his police dog, Jedi, chase on foot.
The officers yell at the man to stop and get on the ground multiple times before a third officer, Tim Jones, comes in to help as they release Jedi, who was slashed and stabbed by the suspect.
The officers move in and the suspect cuts Jedi's partner in the face, and Jones then opens fire seven times.
Both the suspect and Jedi died at the scene. The other officer injured was taken to a nearby hospital.
