Two people have been killed and 21 injured after a gunman, armed with two weapons, opened fire on an LGBTQ+ bar in Oslo, Norway in the early hours of Saturday morning, June 24, just hours ahead of Oslo's annual Pride event. A man has been arrested and charged with murder, attempted murder and terrorist acts following the fatal shooting.
The shooting took place at a popular spot for Norway's LGBTQ+ people, called London Pub, and amongst the injured are three people in critical condition. Police described the scene at the bar, to CNN, as 'chaotic' with 'people running everywhere' as wounded people were on the ground both inside and outside the London Pub.
Police received multiple calls about the incident at 1:14am local time and were on the scene minutes later. Police apprehended the gunman who was taken to the police station and an investigation started into the tragic incident.
