This apparently happened a while back, a Chinese man, some say a mercenary sent by the CCP, attempted to murder a South African man in charge of a construction crew.
The CCP put the work crew together in South Africa and they wanted to unionize so the CCP allegedly sent an armed assassin to kill the leader of the movement.
The rapid growth of Chinese-owned companies operating in Africa has also been a cause for concern for academics, practitioners, and activists. Issues of lack of transparency and the environmental and labor conditions and practices of Chinese companies have been at the center of these concerns.
For example, the research highlighted the unsafe working conditions in Chinese-run copper mining companies in Zambia and the abusive labor practices among Chinese companies in several other African countries.
