Kannauj: There seems to be no end to crimes against women and girl children in the state of Uttar Pradesh. In a fresh incident reported from Kannuaj district, a 12-year-old girl, who was drenched in blood, was found dumped behind the Daak Bangla guest house on Sunday evening.
The minor went out of her home in the afternoon to buy a 'gullack' (piggy bank). When she did not return home in the evening, her parents mounted a search for her.
During the search, the girl was found behind the guest house drenched in blood and traumatised. The victim was immediately taken to the district hospital from where she was referred to Kanpur, according to a report in Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar.
A deeply disturbing video uploaded to Reddit shows a group of men gathered around the victim to film her begging for help in her own blood. Not a single male lent her a hand or checked on her wellbeing
The girl, a resident of Gursahaiganj in Kannauj, had gone to the market around 12 in the afternoon to buy a gullack. She did not return home till 4 pm. The concerned parents immediately started looking for her. During this time, they came to know that a girl was lying behind the guest house. Later, the parents informed the Gursahaiganj police station.
Police post in charge Manoj Pandey reached the spot and took the girl in her arms and rushed her to the district hospital in an autorickshaw.
The doctor examined the girl and referred her to Kanpur keeping in view her critical condition. The local residents alleged that the girl was gang-raped and dumped there. However, the police are denying the claim of local residents..
