A fight at the Harbour Lights pub in Guernsey's town center led to the hospitalization of one person and the arrest of four others.
Police were called to the incident, which they described as "large" and "resource intensive," at around 4pm on Friday (16 December). The victim is in stable condition at Princess Elizabeth Hospital.
Police have asked the community to stop sharing videos of the fight on social media, as they are being used as evidence in the ongoing investigation. Police have received the full cooperation of the Harbour Lights pub in their investigation.
Later in the evening, officers were called to reports of another fight at a different bar in the town center, which they concluded their enquiries for at around 8:30pm. The Harbour Lights pub, which is run by Liberation Group, re-opened as normal the following day.
