MIAMI, Fla. (CBS12) — A woman from Alabama missed her connecting flight, but it was from more than just a delay.
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Camilia McMillie, 25, was traveling from Alabama to New York City, with a connecting flight at Miami International Airport. McMillie checked-in to her flight at gate D-39, after being rebooked for missing her previous flight.
Witnesses told police that while McMillie was speaking to the gate agent, her two children walked away without her noticing to use the restroom. Once McMillie noticed that her children were not beside her, she grew angry and began screaming, demanding that the gate agent find her children.
Investigators said McMillie pulled the boarding pass reader off the wooden counter, damaging the equipment and countertop area. She continued to scream, eventually grabbing the computer monitor and throwing it at the gate agent. The agent was hit on the shoulder, leaving a bruise.
